Our mission? Great people helping other great people totally have a blast while enjoying amazing food. Wow, that was a mouthful. But can you blame us? We’re a restaurant. One that specializes in delicious food and great times. Our goal is to make you laugh. And depending on your hot sauce tolerance, cry. In all seriousness, we take real pride in our food. Try our Jack’s Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub. Our Band of Chefs are influenced by a wide variety of tastes and have travelled across the globe to gain inspiration.
But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. If you’re into at least one of those things, we should hang out.
Each Jack Astor’s location is equipped with multiple TVs in each section of the restaurant. Our TVs may be set up to display a specific sporting event or a logo or slideshow (some limitations apply). Due to our A/V configuration, we cannot always guarantee that all TVs in one section will play the same thing, but we’ll do our best to make it happen!
A projector and screen are available on-site and can be connected to a laptop for presentations. A microphone and podium are also available onsite. Use of the microphone, podium, and/or projector + screen may only be accommodated in certain sections of the restaurant or with a full restaurant buyout.
We feature 6 set menu options – 3 lunch and 3 dinner menus. We require that parties of 50 or more to be on a set menu to ensure quality and speed of service; smaller parties may still consider a set menu for faster service. We are able to alter set menus, however additional fees may apply. Outside food is prohibited excluding cake/dessert (with management approval). Buffet and carvery service are available for Mezzanine or full restaurant buyouts; though rentals will be required.
We also offer two appetizer packages tailored to suit reception-style events, based off of our a la carte shareable offerings. While passed canapes are currently not a part of our regular menu, with chef approval, we may customize some of our shareable options to suit. Event specialists can provide further information.
Jack Astor’s is happy to set up your event space to suit your needs, within the limitations of the space. Your event specialist will work with you to arrange a floor plan that suits your event while working around the restaurant’s permanent setup.
We pride ourselves on our bar list that offers something for everyone: delicious wines, thirst quenching cocktails, a curated draught program and specially-crafted non-alcoholic options. While open bar is absolutely an option, further bar restrictions and service/billing parameters may be set for the restaurant to follow. We offer three bar packages with maximum cost caps to suit your budget, and ticketed service is available. We do not allow BYOB.
Additional Venue Information
Jack Astor’s is fully furnished and we supply our own plates, glassware, cutlery and linen napkins. We do not put linens on our tables, though we have tons of craft paper and crayons if you want to get creative! We have a limited supply of high chairs for children.
If desired, the events department can arrange a rental order from our preferred supplier for the following items:
- Specialty plates and glassware
- Buffet-ware: Chafing dishes, heat lamps, etc. for carvery and buffet stations
- Coat racks/hangers and tags: We have has limited coat storage space. Winter buyouts will require additional racks.
Coat Check and additional staffing fees
We staff to ensure success, however if you feel like an additional or dedicated server is required, or you’d like to have a satellite bar with dedicated bartender, an additional staffing fee of $50 per hour (per additional server/bartender) will be added to the master bill.
